Majestic ‘Coolest Cat’ Bob Junior Killed by Rival Lions in Tanzania’s Serenget

Bob Junior, a magnificent lion who was a popular favourite among visitors and tour guides in Tanzania's Serengeti National Park, has been killed by three younger rival lions. Known as the "coolest cat" and named after reggae legend Bob Marley, Bob Junior and his brother Tryggve Marley had ruled their pride for over seven years. The attack took place on Saturday in the eastern plains of Sametu kopjes while Bob Junior was defending his territory. The photogenic lion's death has been mourned on social media by those who admired him. At the age of 10 to 12, Bob Junior was the second longest-living lion in the park after his father, Bob Marley, who passed away at the age of 14.
